Founded by three like-minded individuals with varied backgrounds in commercial IT, we had a single aim – to provide professional and personal IT support to local schools and businesses. With customer service and communication being at the core of everything we did, we quickly established ourselves within the local area as providing professional and high-quality IT support.
ATS expanded and employed their first member of staff.
With more customers, we needed more staff, and employed 2 more IT Technicians. This model of employing more staff as the customer base grew continued year on year.
A big moment for the company came when we purchased our office in Sidcup, this was a key moment in the company’s development, allowing the company to take on more engineers and expand the level of support and services we could offer – this also allowed us to provide IT support to home users in the local community.
Dan joined the business at Director level – enabling the company to increase the range of products and solutions we could provide to our customer base. With his wealth of knowledge in networking, communications and phone systems, we quickly expanded our portfolio to include structured cabling and fibre, CCTV, phones and lines, and door entry systems.
Identifying that the desktop PC’s at a local college were reaching their end of life, we partnered with VMWare to successfully implement a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure – not only to extend the life of aging devices, but also to provide remote access, and work from home functionality for all staff and students.
Highlighting a need from an Adult Education College to replace their aging dBase Management Information System, we designed, developed and implemented a .NET solution.
Recognising a need to offer Cloud solutions and services to our customers, and already being Microsoft partners, we approached Google and were successful in becoming Google Workspace for Education Partners.
With the outbreak of COVID and the need for our education customers to close, we migrated dozens of schools from on school data to using Google Workspace.
This year, the business is celebrating its 20-year anniversary and we’ve grown from strength to strength, now employing 30 members of staff. However, we’ve made sure that we have always stayed true to our original aim of customer service and communication being at the core of everything we did.
